We added a match making component to Mandalagaba

The idea is to take advantage of Mandalgaba’s network engine that allows multiple users to draw in real time on a the same session.

You can go to http://match.mandalagaba.com/, chose your gender if you want to and wait for someone to show up. Not much people on there for now though.

To learn more about Mandalagaba’s network engine, you can read the following blog post:

Collaborating on Mandalas: The basics of Mandalagaba’s network engine

Users can now playback their mandalas, drawings, designs, pieces of art, what have you

Yeah so this is old news actually but better talk about it now than never: you can now draw something on Mandalagaba and replay all the pen strokes of your beautiful magnificent creation.

Here is how it works:

  1. You draw, doodle, scribble.
  2. At any time you click on your Session Info button.
  3. Inside the Session Info pop-up you click on the replay link.

What is the Session Info button you might ask?

Here's a Gif showing this in action:

And to maximize the entertainment factor of this post, here's a nice little replay generated from a mandala drawn from one of our users. I added some relaxing piano on top for good measure:

We just added the fill tool

If you want to fill your mandalas with color, that is now possible.

Just wrote a blog post on this here: http://blog.mandalagaba.com/miscellaneous-ramblings/2018/6/16/fill-tool-finally-up-and-running

This got me thinking about whether I should just copy paste the text of my post as this update post, and started thinking that that would just double up most of my posts, and that it would be cool if Squarespace allowed for the duplication of posts assigned to various area of our website. Then again, as mentioned I could just copy paste the text, but something doesn't feel right about doing that. Of course I could just write something different altogether for this update but that would go against my ethics on productivity, which is to avoid wasting time pushing unnecessary redundancies. And now I'm thinking that the time spent writing this entire paragraph, that is of course totally unrelated to the announcement of the update at hand, just made me waste a whole lot of time in addition to boring the readers of this blog, which as of today are probably only Google's spiders crawling the web.

So, as I was saying, the fill tool is now working and allows people to fill areas delimited by pen strokes with any color of their choosing. Hoorah.

Possible to now save full size mandalas!

Most of you probably won't know what I'm talking about but I felt eager to start this changelog with a least some tid bit of news. Sooooo... when we just released the new version of Mandalagaba, the save function was cropping mandalas. People were unhappy about this. So were we. So we fixed this and now have a couple of less unhappy users on our plates.
